Dear Future LCS Elementary School Families,
On behalf of the entire staff, I would like to extend the warmest of welcomes to Lakewood Christian Elementary School! We believe that the K-5 grades set the foundation for students to “do school” well and with great joy. We want our students to love school, create good academic habits, and become life-long learners as they grow academically, spiritually, and socially. It is our privilege to do so in partnership with school parents just like you.
Just as “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man,” (Luke 2:52) we want the same for our students, so we use a Christian worldview in all we do, have a growth mind-set, and love each student thoroughly as God created them so they will leave 5th grade prepared for middle school and beyond.
I am honored to lead our elementary school and I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve the LCS community in a variety of ways since 1982. Even our daughter attended LCS Preschool through eighth grade, so I have walked your path as a parent. I believe relationships between families and the school are vital to the success of students, so I encourage you to become involved in every way possible and look forward to serving alongside you.
